The Marathon FR fiber optic ratio thermometer is designed for accurate measurement of targets that are obstructed by smoke, steam, particulates, or smaller than the instrument field of view or located within strong electromagnetic fields. The pyrometer is made of a rugged fiber optic cable plus optical head assembly connected to a housing with contains a detector, processing electronics, internal user interface/LED display, and termination connections for field wiring.
The FR Optical Head features a small stainless steel cylindrical housing construction to withsatnd up to 200°C (392°F) or 315ºC (600ºF) ambient temperatures. The optical Head includes an air-purge accessory to prevent lens contamination. Stainless steel metal armor protects the fiber optic cable. The Raytek DataTemp Multidrop software eases consistent installation and enables configuration and data capture across the various applications including semiconductor processing, glass forming, tempering, annealing, and sealing, steel and metals processing (foundry/forging operations & heat treating)
